Pete Lyons-McCarthy
Pete started writing to alleviate the boredom of work during his lunch break. Very soon, however, he used his break to eat his lunch, as the writing took over his working hours.
Pete was a professional writer for a time, and was discovered, not by a publisher, but by the boss! Now haowever, he's firmly an amateur writer with a love for hisotry, people and sport. He's had several sporting articles publsihed on a web based magazine and is hoping it'll eventually lead to something that pays!
Pete's other passion is football, and the response he's received to the articles he writes from fans across the globe has given him an in-depth knowledge of the vernacular, and he can now utter profanities in many different languages! Additionally, he claims to have recieved instructions from numerous people as to how he can consummate his marriage more effectively! The things you never knew, eh?
He hopes to use his time in the group to help him with a novel, writing that story he says that everybody has inside them. Pete says "it's a labour of love which I hope to complete before I die of old age!" He also says despite being one of the newer members to the group, he's enjoying the diversity and competitive elements of writing, something he had never previously considered.
Pete claims to be fifty going on twelve, who enjoys both humorous and satirial writing, and would like to continue improving his writing skills.
