Pam Adams

Pam lives among creative people. Her husband is an architect and two of her children
went to art school, both getting a fine art degree! One of her sons is an Art Teacher
and her daughter shares a studio in Southend as an artist.
Now her eldest Grandson is following in the family footsteps doing a BA in Graphic
Design.
Pam, however, can't draw a thing. She's tried, but she's hopeless at art, so turned
her hand to writing and finds it just as absorbing. She went to creative writing
classes in Brentwood in the 1980s and belonged to a small writing group in
Billericay.
Two years ago she joined a novel writing class and found it inspiring. She is
continuing to write the novel but knows that she needs a periodic kick in the behind
to keep at it.
It was at this class that she met Marisha and Jo, who kindly invited her to join the
Woodham Writers Group. Pam is finding the group extremely helpful because she is
encouraged to write there and then, to jump straight in and do it. The tasks set each
week encourage work, which is vital for that aforementioned kick in the behind!
Pam says, "Thinking about writing doesn't get it done. Belonging to the group
does."
