John Diamond
John Diamond is a widely travelled man. He's had 34 jobs based all over the world
from Australia, to Nigeria, Canada and Kings Lynn! He's currently quite settled in
Essex and still working as a civil engineer and commercial surveyor. He's also been
involved with City and Guilds and CITB in Norfolk to help young people get careers in
construction.
Off the building site John loves music with expertise on the Trombone, Mandolin, and
Guitar and he's played in many bands over the years.
John joined the group to improve his short story writing and once they've been
published, he wants to tackle the longer stories. He also has ambitious plans to
write poetry and ballads for musical compositions and even writing plays for
TV!
He's a happy family man, having been married for 42 years, with both Children born
whilst he was working in Australia. Both children have gone into education, with his
daughter teaching English, French and German in North London, whilst his son teaches
Maths in Harlow.
