A Brand New Christmas Competition
So The Christmas Competition returned with a brand new
theme for 2005!
This years theme was Music. We asked you to choose a song or a piece of music that
you think the lyrics or tune is telling. It didn't necessarily have to be the right
story, just the one that you think.
The winners to the External Competition were judged by the members of the WWG and
announced in February 2006. The Internal Woodham Writers Competition results were
judged by Catherine Porter, an English teacher at Westleigh Junior School, and her
husband Mark. Here are our results:
External
Competition
1st Place: Sarah Drew: Hill
& Gully Rider
2nd Place: Bill Dobbins: It Serves You Right You Shouldn't
Have Joined
3rd Place: Zoe Merritt: Other Side Of The World
Internal
Competition
The results of the internal Woodham Writers Competition
are as follows:
1st Place: Mike Gillingham: He Ain't Heavy, He's My
Brother
